Attachment theory is a psychological model that explains the manner in which people form and maintain emotional bonds with others. It is based on the idea that we all need to form strong, secure attachments in childhood in order to develop and thrive. Attachment theory provides a framework for understanding how relationships are formed and how they change over time.
Our Story
I have reached a point in my life where I feel that my purpose is to move further out into the world to give more of my authentic self to help those that are less fortunate. My passion has always been helping children. I see them as the light and hope for positive change in our world. It is the children that will usher in a love-based society that is built on the values of oneness, unity, and peace. I believe it is up to those who come before to guide them in their mission.
The gift of presence (love) is something that we are all capable of giving and all worthy of receiving, yet seems elusive in many. It is my passion and my purpose to provide this space to children.
I firmly believe in the mission of reflecting divine worth and truth to every child I come into contact with so that they can recognize it within themselves. Engelwoods allows me to bring attachment-based techniques and developmental tools to orphans in Ecuador so that they develop skills for a brighter future.
